All our undergraduate courses give you the opportunity to apply for a year in industry, where you can put your knowledge into practice. We have a wide range of well-established partnerships with businesses including local, London-based, and international companies.
If you want to develop your entrepreneurial skills and explore business or social enterprise start-up, Business School undergraduates can apply to take a Venture Creation Year. You’ll be expected to set up and run your own startup or social enterprise, developing practical skills and experience in the process. During the year you’ll have the support of the University, with access to one-to-one coaching, specialist workshops, networking and mentor access, funding competitions and online resources.

StartUp Sussex
StartUp Sussex is an initiative run between the Sussex Innovation Centre and the 天美传媒影视 to give budding student entrepreneurs the chance to develop their business idea, gain new skills and pitch to an expert panel for prizes. Their efforts can win up to £10,000 worth of funding for further support and business development.

Business Challenge
Open to all first years in the School, the Business Challenge tasks entrants with analysing case studies and presenting their recommendations to a panel of industry experts — testing participants’ teamwork and ability to work under pressure, as well as their communication and analytical skills.
My motivation behind my participation of the Business Challenge was to gain invaluable experience whilst building upon a range of skills, such as: presenting, working in a team and time keeping.
