Over the Summer, IT Services copied student ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ Share (N Drive) files to their University provided OneDrive. This was part of an ongoing program of works to adopt cloud services and provide you with up to 5Tb of personal storage space, with easy access from anywhere.
As a safety measure, any of your files we copied to your “University ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ Share” folder within your OneDrive were also moved on your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ Share (N Drive) to a folder called "movedToOneDrive" and these were made read-only for safe keeping. The migration of your files to OneDrive only involved any files or folders found inside the following places within your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ Share:
Any files you have outside of these named folders in your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ Share were not copied to OneDrive and are not affected by this planned work.
On December 17th 2020, IT Services will begin to remove the "movedToOneDrive" folder and its contents from within your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ Share, leaving behind any files we did not copy to your OneDrive.
Before this date, we urge you to review the contents of your OneDrive to ensure you are not missing any files. If you feel you are missing files, please contact our IT Service Desk and a member of the team will be happy to arrange for a recovery to be made directly into your OneDrive. Please note, after this date we can still recover any missing files, but it may take longer.
We will continue to publish reminders of this work leading up to the 17th of December. We will also email all students directly as a further reminder.
