How can I insert page breaks in Word?

Word automatically inserts a page break when you reach the end of a page.  If you want the page to break in a different place, you can insert a manual page break:

  1. Position the cursor where you want a page break
  2. Press Ctrl + Return
    or
From the Page Layout tab, Page Setup group, click the Breaks icon
  3. Select Page and it will be inserted and the cursor moves to the next page

Note: Page breaks are visible on screen when the Show/Hide is on.
