2812What should I do if Android Studio is prompting me to update on a student computer?
Android Studio is available on a number of campus computers for developing Android apps. The software routinely prompts the user to install an update but, if you're using the software on a student PC on the campus, you should NOT click the update button and just ignore the pop-up message.
If you do try to update, Android Studio will install updated packages in your personal login profile. The size of the packages is so large, you will then encounter difficulties when trying to log in to other campus computers and may need to contact us for assistance.
Unfortunately it's not possible to disable the update reminder in Android Software.
