In Word, how can I preserve headers and footers between files?


Microsoft Word 2013

The header and footer information is held in the final paragraph mark at the end of the document. If you want to copy the whole document, including the headers and footers, you must include the final paragraph mark of the document when selecting the text.

  1. Press Ctrl + A to select the whole document
  2. Press Copy icon from the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ tab
  3. Go to the new document
  4. Press the Paste icon from the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½Ó°ÊÓ tab
