Can I Create a quick text bibliography from my EndNote references?

Yes you can.  It may be easier to do this if the references for the document are placed in a separate group within your Endnote Library

Using Endnote installed on the PC

  1. In the Endnote Library, select the references (easier if you Create a Group to hold the references for the bibliography for the individual Word document and place the relevant citations within this folder)
  2. Select the Style required
  3. Select the references and click on the Edit menu and select Copy Formatted (also available via the right click popup menu).
  4. Move to the Word document where you wish to place your Bibliography.
  5. Choose Paste.

Using Endnote Online

  1. Log in to Endnote Online
  2. Select the references and Create a Group to hold the references for the individual Word document (place the relevant citations within this folder)
  3. From the Format tab, select Bibliography
  4. Select the references folder
  5. Select the style
  6. Set file type to RTF (Rich text format)
  7. Click Save.
  8. Open the file.
  9. The references will be in a separate file (which can be opened with a word processor) from which you can cut and paste the entries.
