What should I do if I get a security warning when using the central database (Oracle Web Forms)?

If you're using Oracle Web Forms (also known as 'yellow screens' and 'CMS') you may receive a warning when you login, highlighting a security check.

The Yes option should be selected.

This message can be stopped from appearing each time by making a change in the Java settings. To change the preferences:

  • go to Start (the windows icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen) and then choose Control Panel
  • click on Java (in the Programs section)
  • go to the Advanced tab, open Security and then the Mixed code option and choose Enable - hide warning and run with protections
  • click OK and close the Control Panel window
